Big D and The Kids Table

Big D and the Kids Table is a ska-punk band that originated in Boston in the mid-1990s. They’ve released several albums and toured extensively, becoming known for their high-energy live shows. The band continues to be active and has developed a devoted fan base. I was lucky enough to work with the Boston Music Award winning group alongside record label SideOneDummy, promoting 2021 album DO YOUR ART and its following tours. I managed the band’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

DO YOUR ART Release Campaign

I announced and promoted Big D and the Kids Table’s 2021 release DO YOUR ART across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. The campaign began in July, four months before the album’s release. I coordinated posts and edited copy provided by lead singer David McWane alongside record label SideOneDummy and PR firm Black Box. We posted announcements simultaneously at 12 PM ET, which included single promotions, music video drops, and other exclusives.

Social Monitoring

I worked with SideOneDummy to monitor mentions of Big D on music sites and from fans, making sure to acknowledge positive engagement.

Posted high quality, made-for-TikTok content on an account that I spearheaded for the band in 2021 after noticing TikTok’s rise in popularity. I credited videographers and tagged videos appropriately to increase exposure.
