Tastemakers Magazine
Tastemakers is Northeastern’s go-to source for music enthusiasts, particularly those who are interested in discovering new and emerging artists and trends. Responsible for maintaining Tastemakers Instagram and Squarespace site, I aimed to increase awareness and engagement of the magazine among Northeastern students while also positioning it as a credible and trustworthy source for music news and reviews.
Tastemakers Presents: Samia
I developed promotional campaigns for each Tastemakers Presents:, a semesterly concert that we hosted in Northeastern’s music venue. I designed graphics on Canva using bright, chic colors and bold text to generate interest. In 2021, Tastemakers hosted indie artist Samia. For a week prior, we posted daily to promote the show using Tastemakers branding.
Captions were riddled with references to tracks by each visiting artist. To target Gen Z college students, the tone of each caption was designed to be tongue and cheek — yet also gave Tastemakers the ability to display its musical knowledge.
At the end of each calendar year, Tastemakers writers vote on their favorite releases from the last twelve months. I coordinated an Instagram campaign counting down the highest voted albums, starting ten days before New Years. Above are graphics I designed for the chosen albums of 2021.

Each post caption featured a short review by a writer, with the reviews also being posted on Tastemakers website.
